Linda's Banana Bread
Our family favorite Banana Bread recipe. Created by "Momma Fran". Originally taken from the San Francisco A La Carta Cookbook. Was originally a Pumpkin Walnut Bread recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour, unsifted
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup cooked mashed bananas (~3 bananas)
- Butter for pans
- Flour for pans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs, oil, water, bananas and beat until well blended.
- Butter and flour your 7-inch loaf pans. Pour the batter into the pans.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes in the pans, then remove bread onto a rack.
